Free TikTok shares

TikTok has said which signals its recommendation system weighs most, and shares top the list, above likes and above comments. The logic is simple: a like costs nothing, but a share means a viewer wanted someone else to see the clip too. The share count sits under every video next to the arrow, and on a good clip it is usually a fraction of the like count, so even a small batch shows.

The form takes a video link from a public account, short or full. Videos that have sharing turned off in their privacy settings cannot be shared and the request fails; the default setting allows it. Shares arrive within about an hour and the count updates with them. They are kept; TikTok does not revisit them.

Shares amplify a video that is already moving. A clip with a few hundred views and a handful of hearts that suddenly gets shared tells the feed the test audience did more than watch. A clip with no views that gets shared tells it nothing it can use. Send views first, then hearts, then shares.
