How it works

How it works

  1. Copy the video link

Share arrow, then Copy link. The short link works.

  2. Make sure the clip has views

Saves make sense on a video people watched. Pair with the views service on a new clip.

  3. Paste, check, send

Complete the security check and press send. The bookmark count updates within the hour.

The details

The details

TikTok's bookmark, called Favourites in the app, is the quietest button on the screen and one the feed watches closely. Saving a video is a promise to come back, and the recommendation system treats it as a signal in the same family as shares: proof that a viewer did more than let the clip play. The count is public, next to the bookmark icon, and on most videos it is the smallest number on the screen, so a modest batch is visible.

The form takes a video link from a public account, short or full. There is no setting that turns saves off on a video, so the only thing that blocks delivery is a private or friends-only clip. Saves arrive within about an hour, the count updates as they land, and they are kept. They do not add views, hearts, comments or shares, each of which has its own service here.

Saves belong alongside views and hearts, not instead of them. A clip with a healthy play count, proportional hearts and a handful of saves is what the feed reads as a video people liked. A clip with saves and nothing else is not.

Good to know

Good to know

  • Public videos only. Private and friends-only clips cannot be saved by the network.
  • One batch per video every 6 hours.
  • Saves do not add any other interaction.
  • The save count should stay below the like count to look natural.

Questions

Questions

Where does the save count show?

Next to the bookmark icon on the right side of the video, under the comment and share counts.

Do saves help more than likes?

Per unit, yes; the feed reads a save as stronger intent than a heart. In practice they work together, and a clip needs both.

How fast do they arrive?

Most within an hour.

Can viewers see who saved the video?

No. The save count is visible; the savers are not.

Do saves stay?

Yes. They are counted once and kept.
